Abstract
The authors describe physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual competencies women need to achieve equality and also examine social and political barriers that have historically prevented women from achieving true equality. They provide unique skill-building exercises for women and girls, inspiring case examples of women who have achieved equality, and helpful instruments for assessing beliefs related to gender equality. A multidimensional model for prejudice prevention and reduction is presented that focuses on individual, social, and political strategies. References, tables, and figures
