The Australian Institute of Criminology, in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice, Department of Local Government, the Western Australian Police Service, and Safer WA held the conference (and pre- and post-conference workshops) to study inter-agency efforts to reduce criminality through early preventative interventions and proactive programs. Conference attendees also discussed research underpinning both policy and practice, with particular emphasis on best practice and effective partnerships, evaluation, and cost effectiveness.
