Taken together, the volume couples the discussion of important multicultural groups within society with critical issues that face criminal justice and criminology within a multicultural society. The main thrust of the book is to bridge theory and practice in this important area for criminal justice and criminology. The three objectives of the book are to introduce the reader to the topic of multiculturalism, criminal justice, and criminology; to demonstrate the role and function of multicultural perspectives in criminal justice theory and practice; and to highlight various multicultural perspectives within the fields of criminal justice and criminology.
