This article presents snapshots of international linkages and alliances between American neo-Nazi extremists and Muslim extremists since World War II posing potential future threats to the United States and abroad.
Abstract
With a shared set of enemies such as Jews, the United States, race mixing, and ethnic diversity a relationship comprised of dangerous networks has developed between neo-Nazi extremists and Muslim nationalists. This paper presents a look at the long and sordid history of fascist links to the Muslim world giving way to an operational alliance between American neo-Nazis and Islamic terrorists with the potential to develop into strong operational ties. The psychological dynamics that push the actions of Islamic terrorists have much in common with the mental outlook of neo-Nazis. They both glorify violence as a regenerative force and are willing to kill innocent people in the name of creating new social order. Even though the links are seen as more developed in Europe, the September 2001 attacks on the United States, as well as other signs, have indicated that an operational alliance may be taking shape in the United States.
