Psychology and human sciences have made possible the use of criminal profiling to find criminals. This author advocates its use in the apprehension of perpetrators of ultraviolence. "Ultraviolence" is described as an expression of total liberty or social revenge through the creation of chaos. It is noted that preventing such behavior is, at present, very difficult, but that psychology and the human sciences can be utilized to better define individual motivations and understand the people that commit this type of horror.
