Focusing on the videotaping of child victim testimonies, this article measures the effects and repercussions of the laws concerning the videotaping of children. Arguing that their evaluative framework was created in order to aid law enforcement officials using the relatively new technique of videotaping child victim testimonies, the authors claim that this is the first such appraisal of this new law enforcement procedure. The authors further contend that their evaluative framework will enable the parties who engage in the videotaping of child victims to become better acquainted with the practices involved in this procedure and will also enable practitioners to advance suggestions in order to better implement the laws concerning the videotaping of children.
