Particular projects included the planning of the International Violence Against Women Survey, which was initiated in 1997. Also during 2002, HEUNI continued to work on a report revealing findings from the Sixth United Nations Survey. The completion of the report is scheduled for the first half of 2003. HEUNI also sought to gain information on human trafficking in Finland, Italy, and Spain and negotiated with Estonia to organize a training course on the prevention and control of domestic violence in Estonia. Also discussed in this report is an account of the collection and dissemination of information conducted by HEUNI. In this regard, HEUNI has established three publication series' and has a library containing a wide array of materials on crime and criminal justice.
