Abstract
Developed to enhance the curricula of Impact of Crime on Victims (ICV), this video is intended to be viewed in correctional settings to impart the deep and widespread consequences of criminal acts on people's lives. The content of the video involves 14 crime victims telling their compelling stories of victimization and the consequences of the victimization on their lives. Their discussions are open and often painful, unhampered by an interviewers' voice or other unnecessary distractions. The 14 segments present just the crime victim recounting the offense and how it has impacted their everyday lives and the lives of their friends and family. The video offers a powerful and compelling learning tool. In addition to being recommended for correctional communities, the video is also recommended for victim service providers and allied professionals.
