This short and brief audiovisual presents information on the resources and support offered by the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) program to those families and friends who have lost a loved one to a drunk driver. It presents five real-life family stories and their experiences in losing a family member to a drunk driver. Through the stories told, it enables the viewer to understand how families are torn apart and how they must now cope with the void that exists within their family. Coping with this type of loss can be overwhelming, leaving families feeling helpless with no where to turn for support. The videotape explains, through these five stories where families can go to find comfort, support, and resources, the MADD program. MADD is a significant and beneficial resource to families who have lost a family member to drunk driving. MADD functions as an outside support to families, taking on the role of advocate for the victims’ families and providing nationwide victim recognition ceremonies and services. Families receiving or having received support and resources from MADD over time also become volunteers of MADD, to help other families deal with their loss and grief.
