Abstract
The Directory of Crime Victim Services is a Web-enabled, online resource sponsored by the OVC and administered by the OVC Resource Center. The directory is designed to help service providers and individuals locate victim services in the United States and other countries. The database upon which the directory is based relies on user submissions and content from other crime victims services databases and directories. The directory is open to the inclusion of all crime victim service providers who wish to list their victim-focused programs and services in the directory. Information must be appropriate to the subject and certifiable. The user can search for victim service resources by location (State or country), type of victimization, service needed, and agency type. This CD provides instructions on the steps for a user to take in order to find the type of service needed. The Web site is updated regularly, and the Internet address is http://ovc.ncjrs.org/findvictimservices/about.html.
