Annual highlights presented by the Department’s commissioner included: (1) the release of a report from the Legislative Fiscal Committee on sexual harassment and sexual misconduct; (2) 3-year accreditation received by the NH State Prison for Women from the American Correctional Association; (3) part one of a $1.8 million Federal grant for prisoner reentry was received; (4) new substance abuse treatment program became operational at the Northern NH Correctional Facility and the Lakes Region Facility; (5) decentralized training for staff; and (6) plans were begun for the new construction or relocation of the women’s prison at Goffstown.
