Abstract
This listing includes treatment facilities that are licensed, certified, or otherwise approved for inclusion in this directory by their State substance abuse agencies and that responded to the 2003 National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services. The information on each facility addresses the primary focus of the providers, with categories for substance abuse treatment services, mental health services, a mix of mental health and substance abuse services, and general health services. Information on types of services provided allows for substance abuse treatment, detoxification, methadone maintenance, methadone detoxification, or halfway house. Descriptions of type of care pertain to outpatient, partial hospitalization/day treatment, residential short-term treatment, residential long-term treatment, and hospital inpatient. Information is also provided on special programs/groups offered, such as adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders, persons with HIV/AIDS, gay and lesbian, seniors/older adults, pregnant/postpartum women, women, residential beds for clients' children, men, DUI/DWI offenders, and criminal justice clients. Remaining information categories are forms of payment accepted, payment assistance available, and special language services. Listings are presented alphabetically by State, by city within each State, and by facility name within each city.
