Abstract
The service demands encountered by law enforcement officers are becoming increasingly complex and diverse. Learning needs and objectives, as well as required activities and tests, are identified for each learning domain, which include history, professionalism, and ethics; criminal justice system; community relations; victimology/crisis intervention; introduction to criminal law; juvenile laws and procedures; sex crimes; missing persons; hazardous materials awareness; cultural diversity/discrimination; traffic enforcement; and patrol techniques, among others.
