Statistics for children's court address the number of persons charged and offenses proven, the most common principal offense, gender and bail status of persons appearing in court, penalties, the age and gender of defendants, and prior proven offenses. Data for higher courts pertain to total cases registered, cases committed for trial, cases committed for sentence, and cases committed for trial as a percentage of all registrations. Other data for the higher courts cover the numbers of cases finalized, trials held, cases committed for trial but which proceeded to sentence only, the percentage of finalized cases that proceeded to trial, and the most frequently charged offenses.
