The listings are presented under broad categories that indicate the type/function of the agency/organization. These categories are boards or commissions; courts; corrections; crime victim offices, programs, and advocacy groups; criminal justice coordinating councils; defense; drug enforcement task forces; forensic medicine; juvenile justice; law enforcement; legislative; prosecutors; research and data collection; and substance abuse. Ninety agencies/organizations are listed. The uniform format for each listing consists of descriptions of the organization and its mission/activities, along with the address, phone number, and fax number of a contact person. This is the first issue of the directory, and it is anticipated that it will be regularly updated.
