The International Association of Penal Law is a platform for academics, teachers, researchers, and practitioners of the science of criminal law and criminal justice who share the principles and universal values established by the Charter of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The intent of the Association is to promote the progress of penal law and institutions that reflect these values. Information on the International Review of Penal Law pertains to staff additions and the publication plans for the next three volumes. Information on the Association's Internet site is also provided. A section on the scientific life of the Association addresses the proceedings of the 17th International Congress of Penal Law, the work of the Association's Scientific Committee, plans for the 18th International Congress of Penal Law, and the development of working groups that will be organized according to the subjects selected by the Association's Board of Directors and monitored by the Scientific Committee. The Resolutions of the 17th International Congress of Penal Law are presented in their entirety. They pertain to the criminal responsibility of minors in national and international legal order, corruption and related offenses in international business relations, the application of principles of criminal procedure in disciplinary proceedings, and concurrent national and international criminal jurisdiction and the principle "Ne bis in idem."
