The development of the credit card has enjoyed a history of several decades and the credit card has become an important part in the banking system. However, credit card fraud not only harms economic order but also significantly damages society and the nation since it destroys the banking system. Since credit cards now have increasing functions, there are also different types of credit card fraud. This paper examines the current state of credit card fraud, an analysis of factors contributing to credit card fraud, and the behaviors of credit card fraud. Case studies are presented with details of cases related to credit card fraud in order to classify the main types of the fraud. The paper also briefs authorities in Taiwan, as well as others, on the actions and efforts devoted by law enforcement officers to prevent and fight credit card fraud. Lastly, it proposes suggestions for the fight against credit card fraud. References and appendix
