The AIC's annual report begins with a review of the year, which notes that the AIC has released a number of influential publications, achieved its highest earnings from external revenue, continued to disseminate relevant criminological information, and forged close working relationships with key partners. The year's review is followed by an outline of national research priorities, which broadly encompass community safety and border and economic security. The provisions of AIC's enabling legislation are presented, along with the functions of AIC's Board of Management and Audit Committee. Information is then provided on AIC's organization, research framework, corporate accountability, and management committees. A series of chapters report on AIC activities that contributed to its output objectives during the reporting period. The research summary table lists outputs and outcome/impact indicators for national monitoring programs and key research projects during the reporting period. Budget and financial outcomes are included, and AIC publications are listed. The CRC annual report indicates that the CRC's primary objectives are to support research that is relevant to current and future public policy issues, foster quality criminological research, and ensure that CRC-supported research is disseminated effectively. The CRC works closely with the AIC to ensure that funding is provided for national criminological research priorities.
