Of the 171 countries or regional economic integration organizations that signed the Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime, 123 had either ratified, accepted, approved, or accessed the Convention as of the second reporting cycle. Only 42 had responded to the second-cycle questionnaire, which solicited information on states parties' progress in implementing various provisions of the Convention. Of the 143 signatories to the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress, and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, 102 had either ratified, accepted, approved, or accessed the Protocol as of the second-cycle report. Forty-three responded to the second-cycle questionnaire regarding the progress of their implementation of the provisions of the Protocol. Of the 111 signatories to the Protocol Against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea, and Air, 93 had either ratified, accepted, approved, or accessed the Protocol at the time of the second-cycle report. Forty-one had responded to the second-cycle questionnaire. Fifty-four states parties had either ratified, accepted, approved, or accessed the Protocol Against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Their Parts and Components and Ammunition as of the second-cycle reporting. Thirty-nine had responded to the second-cycle questionnaire. Information is also provided on the status of the response of states parties to the Convention regarding dealing with requests for international cooperation as of the second reporting cycle.
