Countywide, 17, 303 Part I offenses (homicide, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, vehicle theft, and arson) were recorded for 2007, a 19.2-percent decrease from 2006. There were 20,527 Part II offenses recorded for 2007, a 10.7-percent decrease from 2006. Countywide data are also provided on dispatched calls for service, adult charges/arrests, juvenile charges/arrests, traffic enforcement, officers assaulted, total gang-related incidents, total domestic-violence-related incidents, and reports of hate crimes/malicious harassment. Crime data are presented by precinct and contract cities.
