The interdisciplinary book is divided into six sections with each section containing several research works from scholars, decisionmakers, and practitioners contributing to advancing the quest for more comprehensive and effective criminal justice teaching and training in member states of the United Nations. These six sections are: (1) making the rule of law work: security and justice reforms in the United Nations, (2) international criminal justice through distance learning, (3) teaching international criminal justice in a real classroom, (4) training experiences in international criminal justice academies, (5) international criminal justice teaching and training agenda, and (6) teaching and training experiences in international crime prevention. This book offers students and educators a broad international context in which to better understand the importance of the promotion of human rights and the rule of law within criminal justice, the universalization of standards, and security and justice reform. It explores some of the critical issues in teaching and training in support of criminal justice reform. References
