After listing the title for each course, the instructor's name and brief biography are provided. Other information pertains to when the course will be offered during the conference, the length of the course, session credits, and an abstract on what the course covers. Among the topics addressed in the course are the characteristics and criminal behaviors of specific gangs and hate groups; gang prosecution in Cook County, IL; gang investigations; drug wars on the Mexican front; development of a community-based approach to reducing gang violence; the use of "gang mapping" for investigation and research; gang prevention; and gangs in the military.
