This video presents a public service announcement (PSA) that emphasizes all persons - regardless of gender, race/ethnicity, or age - must work together to prevent and stop violence against women.
Abstract
The PSA first shows a White middle-aged man standing to the front and side of a mixed-gender, mixed-race group of people. As the camera zooms in on the man, he says, "It's not just her story, it's our story." Next, the camera focuses in on a young Black man who says, "Stop it before it starts." The camera then shifts to a young woman who says, "Some secrets shouldn't be kept." A young mother standing behind her child with her hands on the child's shoulders says, "History doesn't have to be repeated." The camera then moves back to the man who first spoke as he says, "Violence against women is wrong. It must be stopped - together." Each of the featured individuals then says, "Together" in succession. The camera then moves out to reveal a group of people of mixed-gender, race/ethnicity, and age, as they repeat in unison, "Together." The PSA concludes with the showing of a phone number where viewers can call for help.
