This report documents the adopted resolutions of the third session of the conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
Abstract
This report provides resolutions and decisions adopted in the third sessions held in Doha, Qatar, from November 9 to 13, 2009. The contents of this report include resolutions in the areas of review mechanism, preventive measures, asset recovery, and technical assistance to implement the Convention against Corruption. The session reviewed the implementation of the Convention against Corruption and included expert consultations on the prevention of corruption, on criminalization, and on international cooperation; asset recovery; technical assistance; consideration of the issue of bribery of officials of public international organizations; and the consideration of notification requirements in accordance with the relevant articles of the Convention. Other matters discussed included: venues for the fourth and fifth sessions of the Conference; special events, the sixth Global Forum on Fighting Corruption and Safeguarding Integrity and Global Youth Forum; a provisional agenda for the fourth session of the Conference; and the adoption of the report of the Conference on its third session.
