Abstract
"WatchGuard 4RE Videography" describes an HD wireless in-car video system that is the first true high-definition in-car video system for law enforcement. "L-3's Wireless Digital Video Solutions" reviews equipment offered by L-3 Mobile-Vision, Inc. that provides wireless digital video solutions for police patrol cars. "Enhancing Safety with Video Analytics" describes video analytic applications that are narrowing down activity caught on video and signaling which incidents may require police action at that moment. "Speech Analytics for 9-1-1 Communications" describes software that aids investigators in leveraging 9-1-1 interactions in ongoing investigations. "CCTV State of the Art" describes the features of state-of-the-art CCTV technology that has been developed by Bolide, Pelco, Samsung Techwin, and Virtual Surveillance. "L-3's AlertVu: the Next Generation in ALPR" describes an ALPR system that processes thousands of license plates, thus improving an agency's efficiency and safety. "Florida Fish and Wildlife" describes how the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Division of Law Enforcement patrols and protects Florida's waters and wildlife resources. "Diving for Rescue, Recovery and Investigation" provides guidance for diving teams in preparing for their work. Other articles pertain to the various "Departments" of the magazine, which address job-related issues, news, police finance, discipline, education, recent policy changes, police equipment news, an advertiser index, and product "Spotlight."
