This video presents an overview of the services provided to victims of violent crime on the Ft. Peck Reservation located in northeastern Montana.
Abstract
This 1-hour video, produced by the U.S. Department of Justice, presents an overview of the victim services provided to victims of violent crime at the Ft. Peck Tribal Crisis Center on the Ft. Peck Reservation in Montana. The Ft. Peck Reservation is located in northeastern Montana and has limited resources available for its residents. This video contains with interviews with tribal and Federal officials who work with the crisis center and provide victim services to tribal residents. The officials interviewed include tribal and Federal judges, tribal and Federal prosecutors, tribal criminal investigators as well as those from the FBI, and victim services advocates. These officials highlight the work and programs of the crisis center. These include: parenting programs, programs dealing with violence against women and children, sexual abuse programs, child abuse programs, and services for victims of domestic violence and child sexual abuse such as medical assistance and court and trial preparation assistance.
