Abstract
This October 2011 edition of the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin contains three primary articles examining law enforcement's response to individuals with mental illness and how technological changes affect the principles of disclosure and discoverability. The first article, Responding to Persons with Mental Illness discusses the unique challenges facing law enforcement officials when dealing with individuals with mental illnesses. The second article, Awareness of Alzheimer's Disease examines how law enforcement agencies need to understand how to respond to the unique challenges that occur when individuals with Alzheimer 's disease come in contact with law enforcement. The third article, Disclosure in the Modern Age discusses how the principles of disclosure and discoverability are relevant to the use of mobile technology devices.
