Directory entries provide information about the purpose of the data collection, type of collection, frequency, and the history and range of FDV-related data available from each collection. Information is also presented on FDV-related content, the definition of FDV for the purposes of the data collection, relationship to a conceptual framework for FDV, the methodology of the data collection, the target population, and geographic coverage. The intent of this directory is to provide researchers, policy analysts, and practitioners with a single source for accessing information about FDV at the national, State, and Territory levels. The creation of this directory is a response to the circumstance that much of the data relevant to FDV has been invisible, under-used, and scattered across sectors, jurisdictions, and levels of government.
