This book is a collection of 69 devotions with religious meaning designed to help counsel law enforcement officers, firefighters, law enforcement supervisors, community service officers, chaplains, and ministers. Each devotion looks at a particular passage of scripture from the perspective of law enforcement. The devotions help to identify a variety of trying situations that public safety officers may find themselves in and guide them to stay on a strong spiritual and moral path. These situations are then linked with relevant biblical passages. The devotions are freestanding and can be used in any order. The devotions are arranged in five categories: justice, dealing with crime and police situations, dealing with people, prevention, and self-care. Each devotion ends with questions for reflection and a meaningful prayer. The questions for reflection are opportunities to take any academic lessons learned from the Bible reading or devotion and applying them to an officer's life. The meaningful prayers are considered a starting place of first thoughts in a much longer conversation with God. This book should be used in conjunction with a personal Bible, however, the actual Bible reading in not included with the devotion. Appendix of selected prayers and index of scripture passages
