This quarterly newsletter serves the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) membership by providing ongoing technical assistance and support.
Abstract
This issue features 5 articles: 1) NCTSN Advisory Board which reports on the meeting held in Durham, NC on June 14-16, 2010; 2) Child and Adult Trauma Survivor Becomes NCTSN Advocate which profiles Michelle Renee, a parent who became an advocate after seeking trauma-related care for her young daughter at the Chadwick Center for Children and Families in San Diego, CA; 3) Over Five Years, Network Grant to Delaware Spurs Statewide Gains on Trauma which describes how a grantee has expanded its capacity to identify and assess child traumatic stress throughout the State, and has increased access to trauma-specific treatment for acutely traumatized children and adolescents in the State's health, welfare, and justice systems; 4) Yale Prepares to Launce Learning Collaborative for Brief Intervention Model which reports on how the staff at the Childhood Violent Trauma Center, Yale Child Study Center are planning a Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) learning collaborative; and 5) Gulf Spill Draws Network Sites in Coordinated Response to Trauma which report on how NCTSN members hosted a Webinar to address key issues affecting children and families living in the Gulf region.
