Abstract
"SigSauer M400 Carbine" reviews Sig's new, less expensive version of its 516 rifle, the M400. "Testing the .50 Beowulf" provides the positive results of the testing of this powerful, large-caliber rifle for patrol officers to use at short to medium ranges. "What's New in Night Vision Devices" describes some of the more popular night-vision equipment. "CIT and the Mentally Ill Patrol Response" describes the features of the training of a crisis intervention team (CIT) in how to address a crisis that involves a mentally ill person. "Cold Water Diving Considerations" develops the argument that divers' drysuits, although costly, allow more comfort and warmth than wetsuits in cold and cool water, thus enabling divers to spend more dive time for searches and recoveries. "Livescribe: Note-taking at a New Level" describes a digital pen that writes like any other ball-point pen, but is paired with an infrared camera in its tip that links a page of notes with a recording of the session when the notes were taken. A tap on any portion of the notes results in the playing of the audio of the moment the notes were taken. Articles from the magazines various "Departments" focus on job-related issues, education, discipline, social media, fleet management, general news, equipment news, an advertiser index, and a "Product Spotlight."
