Abstract: The top story highlights the Office of Justice Programs' (OJP's) recent outreach sessions to educate rural and tribal organizations and agencies about funding opportunities from OJP and other Department of Justice grant-making offices. The Message From the Administrator discusses OJJDP's participation in the outreach sessions, OJJDP's commitment to enhancing public safety in rural and tribal communities, and the Office's efforts to simplify and clarify the grant application process. The newsletter also features articles on OJJDP's fiscal year 2020 awards to develop and expand children's advocacy centers in Alaska and tribal communities in the lower 48 states, a Staff Spotlight article on Associate Administrator Janet Chiancone, and a Research Central article about a graduated response approach for youth in the Maryland juvenile justice system. Additional agency news includes reports on meetings of the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice.
