THIS PROJECT DESIGNS, IMPLEMENTS, AND EVALUATES THE USE OF SENSITIVITY TRAINING TO TEACH HUMAN RELATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS TO POLICE OFFICERS.
Abstract
THIS PAPER IS DIVIDED INTO NINE SECTIONS. THE INTRODUCTION REVIEWS LITERATURE WHICH DOCUMENTS SOME OF THE AUTHORS' ASSERTIONS AND ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT THE NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE CONFLICT BETWEEN POLICE AND THE COMMUNITY AND THE NEED FOR PROJECTS SUCH AS THIS ONE. THE LATTER SECTIONS DESCRIBE THE TRAINING PROGRAM, THE METHODOLOGY USED TO EVALUATE THE TRAINING PROGRAM, A SUMMARY OF THE RESULTS OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM, AND A DETAILED EXPOSITION OF THE RESULTS OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM.
