A CONSOLIDATION FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE ABERDEEN, HOQUIAM, AND COSMOPOLIS (WA) POLICE DEPARTMENTS WHICH SERVE AN AREA OF 1,910 SQUARE MILES, DATED DECEMBER 8, 1975.
Abstract
THE STRENGTHS OF THE ABERDEEN, HOQUIAM, AND COSMOPOLIS POLICE DEPARTMENTS ARE, RESPECTIVELY, 32 SWORN FOR A TOTAL OF 43, 23 SWORN FOR A TOTAL OF 26, AND 4 SWORN. THESE THREE CITIES CONTAIN OVER 50 PERCENT OF THE COUNTY POPULATION, AND HAVE CONTIGUOUS BOUNDARIES. THIS REPORT RECOMMENDS CONSOLIDATION, AND INCLUDES A SAMPLE CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF POLICE SERVICES TO ALL THREE CITIES.
