A NOVEL CATHODOCHROMIC CATHODE RAY TUBE WHICH PERMITS THE VIEWING OF HIGH CONTRAST IMAGES IN BOTH DAYLIGHT AND DARK.
Abstract
THE APPLICATION OF SUCH DEVICES IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM COMPRISED OF A CENTRAL DATA FILE AND SEVERAL REMOTE DISPLAY TERMINALS IS DISCUSSED. SUCH A SYSTEM WILL ALLOW THE TRANSMISSION OF MESSAGES, MAPS, PICTURES, AND FLOOR PLANS DIRECTLY INTO A VEHICLE VIA A RADIO COMMUNICATIONS CHANNEL. THE NEW CATHODOCHROMICLUMINESCENT MATERIAL IS GERMANIUM-DOPED BROMINE SODALITE. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
