Abstract
THE MAXIMUM SECURITY UNIT IN CAMBELLTON NEW BRUNSWICK OPERATES A THERAPEUTIC COMMUNITY FOR OFFENDERS REQUIRING HOSPITALIZATION FOR MENTAL DISORDERS. IN HIS DESCRIPTION OF THE COMMUNITY, THE AUTHOR PAYS PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE GROUP ACTIVITIES AND COMMUNITY PRIVILEGES WHICH FOSTER A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND GROUP INVOLVEMENT IN THE PATIENTS.
