SUGGESTS THAT THE COUNSLEOR'S ROLE IN JUVENILE PREVENTION PROGRAMS SHOULD STRESS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW VALUE SYSTEM, IMPROVEMENT OF SELF-CONCEPT, AND ENHANCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS FOR THE YOUTH.
Abstract
PARTICULAR OBJECTIVES AND TECHNIQUES RELATING TO THESE THREE AREAS OF CONCENTRATION ARE DISCUSSED. SCHOOL COUNSELORS ARE BEST STIUATED TO PROVIDE SUCH COUNSELING SERVICES BEFORE THE YOUNGSTER DRIFTS INTO DELINQUENCY.
