Abstract
CURRENT BRITISH LAWS DEALING WITH THE CRIME OF RAPE ARE REVIEWED AND SPECIAL ATTENTION IS GIVEN THE CONCEPT OF CONSENT AND THE ADMISSIBILITY OF EVIDENCE. CASE LAW ESTABLISHING PRINCIPLES UPON WHICH PRESENT RAPE STATUTES ARE BASED IS DISCUSSED.
