PLAN FOR A STUDY TO BE CONDUCTED TO EXPLORE THE ROLE OF SCHOOL INFLUENCES UPON DELINQUENT BEHAVIOR.
Abstract
THE PROPOSED STUDY IS UNIQUE IN THAT IT WILL EXAMINE SEVERAL SCHOOL VARIABLES AND THEIR INDEPENDENT, INTERACTIVE, AND AGGREGATE EFFECTS AS OPPOSED TO PAST RESEARCH CONCENTRATING ON INDEPENDENT VARIABLES IN ISOLATION FROM ONE ANOTHER. PRIOR FINDINGS RELATED TO THE TOPIC ARE REVIEWED AND RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN ACADEMIC CAREER FACTORS AND DELINQUENCY ARE DISCUSSED. THE THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK TO BE USED TO EXAMINE DELINQUENT BEHAVIOR IS OUTLINED. HYPOTHESES TO BE TESTED AND EXPECTED RESULTS ARE EXPLAINED. APPENDED INFORMATION INCLUDES A QUESTIONNAIRE DEVELOPED TO ASSESS THE ATTITUDES AND PERCEPTIONS OF HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMINISTERING IT.
