A 68.8 PERCENT INCREASE IN ARREST RATES FOR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATIONS AND ONLY A 2.8 PERCENT DISMISSAL RATE ARE POINTED TO AS EVIDENCE OF THE POSITIVE EFFECT OF THE PROGRAM. A DECREASE IN NON-NARCOTIC CRIMINAL ACTIVITY, PARTICULARLY HOUSE BREAK-INS AND BURGLARIES, IS ALSO NOTED. CONTINUATION OF THE PROGRAM IS RECOMMENDED. ATTACHED TO THIS REPORT ARE SAMPLES OF DEFENDANT ARREST DATA INCLUDING TYPES OF DRUGS AND EXPENDITURES.
