FINAL REPORT ON A PROJECT TO TRANSFER BRITISH TECHNOLOGY ON THE MICRO-ELECTROPHORESIS IDENTIFICATION OF SUB-GROUPS IN DRIED BLOOD.
Abstract
THIS PROJECT WAS UNDERTAKEN IN RESPONSE TO THE INABILITY OF AMERICAN FORENSIC LABORATORIES TO IDENTIFY RH PHENOTYPES AND GENETIC ENZYMES IN MICRO-QUANTITIES OF OLD DRIED BLOOD. IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE PROJECT GOALS, TWO EXPERT FORENSIC SCIENTISTS WERE FLOWN TO THE SCOTLAND YARD LABORATORIES IN LONDON TO LEARN THE PROCESSES. A LABORATORY MANUAL WAS PREPARED, AND TRAINING SEMINARS WERE SET UP. THE PRELIMINARY LABORATORY TRAINING MANUAL IS APPENDED.
