Abstract
MUNCY HAS BOTH MEDIUM AND MAXIMUM SECURITY UNITS. ON THE OUTSIDE IT RESEMBLES A COLLEGE CAMPUS. VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS ARE REVIEWED BRIEFLY. THE INMATES CRITICIZE THEM FOR BEING UNRESPONSIVE TO REAL WORLD INFLUENCES. MANY OF THE INMATES FEEL A SENSE OF FUTILITY AND LACK OF MOTIVATION. PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING, A DISCIPLINARY HEARING, AND A POST-INCIDENT COUNSELING SESSION ARE BRIEFLY VIEWED.
