MAJOR DEFICIENCIES IN THE RECORDING SYSTEM ITSELF AS WELL AS IN THE NECESSARY TRANSCRIPTION PROCESS ARE ENUMERATED TO SUPPORT HIS STAND AGAINST REPLACING LIVE PROFESSIONAL COURT REPORTERS WITH TAPE RECORDERS IN OTHER JURISDICTIONS.
