REPORT ON A STUDY WHICH TESTED THE HYPOTHESIS THAT CRIMINALS WILL HAVE MORE HOSTILITY, LOCO GUILT AND CONFLICT OVER HOSTILITY THAN NONCRIMINALS.
Abstract
TWO HUNDRED MALE CRIMINALS AND 100 MALE NONCRIMINALS WERE GIVEN A MEASURE OF HOSTILITY, GUILT OVER HOSTILITY AND CONFLICT OVER HOSTILITY. THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDY WAS TO FIND OUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE GROUPS ON THE ASPECTS MEASURED BY THE TEST. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE TWO GROUPS DID NOT DIFFER SIGNIFICANTLY IN HOSTILITY, BUT THE CRIMINALS SHOWED SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER GUILT OVER HOSTILITY AND CONFLICT OVER HOSTILITY AS COMPARED TO THE NONCRIMINALS.
