FINAL TASK IN A STUDY OF LEAA (LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION)-FUNDED DRUG ABUSE TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION PROGRAMS INCLUDING RECOMMENDATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS BASED ON THE PREVIOUS THREE TASKS.
Abstract
TASK I INVOLVED THE COLLECTION OF DATA FROM 24 LEAA FUNDED DRUG ABUSE TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION PROGRAMS IN 20 US CITIES. TASK II INCLUDED THE DEVELOPMENT OF A STANDARD REPORTING FORM FOR USE BY INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMS AND A MANUAL TO AID PROGRAM DIRECTORS IN COLLECTING, COMPILING, AND REPORTING DATA TO THE LEAA. TASK III ENTAILED THE WRITING OF A MANUAL FOR LEAA REGIONAL ADMINISTRATORS AND LEAA HEADQUARTERS. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE TO EXPEDITE THE FORMATION OF A STANDARD DATA REPORTING SYSTEM FOR THE PROGRAMS.
