Abstract
ALTHOUGH IT IS SAID THAT MANY MALE-FEMALE DIFFERENCES MAY BE MORE APPARENT THAN REAL, THE PRESENCE OF WOMEN ON THE POLICE FORCE MAY HAVE A HUMANIZING EFFECT ON THE IMAGE OF THE POLICE.
