Abstract
THE INADEQUACIES OF TRADITIONAL POSITIVISTIC CONCEPTIONS OF DELINQUENCY ARE EXAMINED, AND A MEDICAL MODEL IS EXAMINED AS A BASIS FOR DEVELOPING DELINQUENCY MANAGEMENT RESPONSES. ALTERNATIVE CONCEPTIONS OF DELINQUENCY AND DELINQUENTS ARE PROPOSED WHICH ARE SAID TO BE FREE OF AGEIST BIASES. FINALLY, A CONFLICT RESOLUTION MODEL OF DELINQUENCY MANAGEMENT IS PROPOSED.
