ONE OF A SERIES OF DOCUMENTS REFLECTING THE RESULTS OF A RESURVEY OF IOWA RESIDENTS ORIGINALLY CONTACTED IN 1974 TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT OF DRUG USE AND EXISTING ATTITUDES AND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DRUGS WITHIN THE STATE.
Abstract
THE RESURVEY WAS CONDUCTED TO ASSESS HOW THE USE OF DRUGS HAS CHANGED AND WHAT CURRENT ATTITUDES TOWARD DRUG ABUSE ARE, TWO YEARS AFTER THE ORIGINAL SURVEY. IN THIS STUDY OF 2,000 PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF 14 WHO HAD BEEN CONTACTED IN 1974 IN AN EFFORT TO LEARN THE EXTENT OF DRUG USE WITHIN THE STATE, 38 PERCENT OF THE ORIGINAL RESPONDENTS RETURNED A COMPLETED RESURVEY QUESTIONNAIRE. APPENDIXES CONTAIN COPIES OF THE RESURVEY QUESTIONNAIRE AND ACCOMPANYING COVER LETTERS. FOR STATISTICAL REPORTS FOR THE ENTIRE RESURVEY, SEE NCJ-35529 THROUGH NCJ-35533. FOR A SUMMARY OF THE ORIGINAL SURVEY, SEE NCJ-35534.
