Abstract
THESE CONSIDERATIONS INCLUDE USING ADVISORY COMMITTEES EFFECTIVELY, TECHNIQUES OF PROGRAM PALNNING, STAFFING, AND STUDENT SELECTION AND SERVICES. A BIBLIOGRAPHY IS INCLUDED THAT REPRESENTS A MINIMUM BASIC LIBRARY FOR THE CURRICULUM. ALSO INCLUDED ARE SUGGESTED COURSE OUTLINES, SEQUENCE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROCEDURE, LABORATORY LAYOUTS, LISTS OF LABORATORY EQUIPMENT AND COSTS, TEXTS AND REFERENCES, A DISCUSSION OF LIBRARY FACILITIES, AND A SELECTED LIST OF PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS CONCERNED WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT. IT IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS, DEANS, INSTRUCTORS, PRACTITIONERS, AND ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS WHO GUIDE AND EVALUATE PROGRAMS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT. THE INDICATED LEVEL OF INSTRUCTION IS POST HIGH SCHOOL AND IS INCREASINGLY BECOMING A JOB REQUIREMENT PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT IN POLICE SERVICE. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
