Abstract
AMONG THE METHODS MENTIONED ARE BURNING OF THE SKIN, USE OF ABRASIVE MATERIALS TO REMOVE FINGERPRINT RIDGES, AND DELIBERATE CUTTING AND REPOSITIONING OF THE SKIN OF THE PATTERN AREA. PHOTOGRAPHS OF FINGERPRINTS WHICH HAD BEEN ALTERED BY MEANS OF THE THIRD METHOD ARE PRESENTED.
